School violence as consequences of educational politicization

The teacher grabbed the collar and dragged the female student, which was shared on social networks

The civic education teacher, while also working as a school counselor, grabbed the student’s shirt and dragged her to the front of the classroom, despite the female student crying until she was exhausted and convulsing. That is the action of educators at Da Phuc High School, Soc Son district, Hanoi. Such a teacher’s actions are unacceptable in any educational environment.

The question is, is this a particular problem or a problem for the entire education sector? Maybe this teacher is some kind of thug, but she works as a teacher? Because not all teachers are as evils and act against education like that.

Responding to the press, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hien – Principal of Da Phuc High School – affirmed that the teacher’s actions in the clip violated teacher ethics, did not comply with pedagogical standards, and would certainly be punished strictly.

Those are the “moral” words of the Principal. However, the next sentence revealed the true face of this Principal. Because, to the student who filmed the clip, Principal Hien said “the school will wait for the conclusion of the Police Department and will take appropriate disciplinary action.”

That is, this man not only wanted to cover up the violence of his subordinates, but also threatened students who dared to expose the truth. This is also an act of violence. This man is clearly not in management, but is ruling a school. Using wrong to cover up wrong, using violence to cover up violence, so why don’t teachers abuse themselves?

During the same time, social networks were again stirred up by clips of teachers squeezing students’ chins and cursing vulgarly at students right on the podium. This teacher was identified as an English teacher at Phan Huy Chu High School, Thach That district, Hanoi.

In addition, at the same time, social networks also appeared clips of preschool teachers fighting in front of children. This image was determined to occur at a private preschool in Kim Tan ward, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province.

Education is considered a place to create human personality, a place to mold future society. But now, this education system has been seriously poisoned. Humanity is nowhere to be seen, all we see is violence, and violence is right among teachers, so how can they teach students how to be good people?

No society has ever given teachers the very bitter word “teacher” like Vietnam. A very worthy word for teachers lacking personality, but a serious insult to the honor of true teachers.

Nowadays, educational facilities in Vietnam try to make money for parents with unreasonable fees. Collecting money is like robbery, but what they give back to students is violent and uncultured behavior. In general, the current Vietnamese educational environment reeks of money and reeks of violence. That is why don’t those who have the means spend money to send their children abroad to refugees for education?

The “Red Star Team” is likened to the school version of the “police governance” model. Many conscientious educators have spoken out for many years, demanding the abolition of the “red star” model, but this education system still maintains.

In schools, the principal is like a miniature general secretary, and the red stars are miniature “policemen” who specialize in snooping and catching students’ mistakes. This approach destroys trust between people. And in fact, Vietnamese society today no longer has trust. When people shop on market, the sellers cheat the buyers. There are a lot of online cheating.

The police state model is a violent state model, which is a form of “Revolutionary violence” in peacetime. The government needs people to spy on the people and find ways to terrorize them and make them afraid. Red stars in school also behave the same way. Then teachers over-collect and take student fees for themselves, state officials also over-collect and put in their own pocket, what’s the difference? Officials are arrogant and treat people like trash, and teachers curse and call students my friend, so what’s the difference?

In addition to such bad examples, in the social subjects curriculum, the Communist government has also implanted the ideology of “Revolutionary violence.” As a result, the education system is ruined, so is the society.
